Die guten Nachricht:
Stephen Fry wurde für den Film Sherlock Holmes II (Premiere Dezember 2011) in der Rolle des Mycroft gecastet. Mycroft ist Sherlocks älterer und klügerer Bruder, mit einem leichten Hang zur Faulheit. Stephen Fry hat mit BBC Radio 5 über seine Rolle gesprochen.
Die schlechte Nachricht:
Der ehemalige Wohnsitz von Arthur Conan Doyle “Undershaw” ist in Gefahr und das historische Haus soll komplett umgebaut werden. Die Seite “The Save Undershaw Preservation Trust” will dies verhindern und sucht Unterstützer in ihrem Vorhaben, das Bauwerk zu retten. Die einfachste Form der Unterstützung ist die Facebook-Gruppe.
Thank you Captain Serenus for publishing the fate of Britain’s most iconic building whose former resident was none other than the late great Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, and where he wrote his most famous novel the ‘Hound of the Baskervilles’.
As you know we’re trying to spread the word that Undershaw is currently awaiting it’s fate at the hands of the developers, who wish to build 8 modern town houses on the site, and raising an awareness for the need to save the property for future generations.
